If anyone has followed our New Year's programming we have offered up the opportunity to take advantage of the energy of the new year through the creating of a 30 day challenge (or more). Personally, I find the power of the new irrepressible. To harness this energy to build towards something seems obvious.
Today is a powerful date 11-11-22. It seems to be beaconing to take on a new challenge. This year has been hard for the Community House Network. It was necessary for financial reasons to let go of our paid staff and move towards an entirely volunteer organizational structure. Even with our staff, we have yet to create the real and meaningful connections with our neighbors that will help us become what we intend to be.
One question is why? Starting a community project in the middle of Covid didn't help, but also, in our community, like many around us, trust is hard to come by. So we are working on it, one family at a time.
In the meantime, why not increase our online presence. It is so much easier for people to enter into the online space than the 3-D. So, that is the goal and that is the challenge. Through our Consciousness Explorations programming we have created quite a bit of content already. The challenge is to get this content available to our local and online community. To let people join the conversation, online, and then perhaps eventually in person.
Challenge: Post one new video a day for the next 100 days.
Since I have not posted much, and have not done much (almost none) video editing, this challenge will also represent a new learning experience. Learning is natural. It takes focus of our interest towards something, continued curiosity and effort, exploration and discovery. Learning is fun! When we reach those new levels of competency and understanding we get a natural dopamine boost!
So why not take on your own new challenge? Ask yourself what you want to learn? What do you want to improve on? What do you want to share with the world, or just for you alone?
And watch as we take the steps to share what we have been doing over the last year, while learning how to use video editing software and youtube.
Check out our new youtube channel - Consciousness Explorations - or check it out sometime soon, since today there won't be much to see.
You know the old saying GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out), well it is true for our conscious mind as well. When we fill up on junk food we are sluggish and muddled in our thoughts.
I have long ago stopped watching the news. Not that I don't care about what is going on in the world, but the mainstream media does not portray an understanding that will bring us together. The mainstream media typically fosters divisiveness, and fear. Both of these create a state of consciousness that further separates us.
If one of the most significant goals for humanity is to recognize our interconnected oneness, then the mainstream media is actually an incredibly destructive force in the evolution of our consciousness.
And what about social media, or other sources of information?
I haven't been on Facebook in about 15 years, until just recently when I was nudged back into the scene out of the need to make the activities at the Community House Network more public. I don't typically spend much time on it, partly because I don't know how to use it.
However, I am what you might call a "Youtube junkie". I can find myself getting lost in videos on Youtube, and although I start off with meditation and consciousness uplifting content, I often find myself watching murder podcasts, or even just those mind-numbing videos of shorts of cooking or crafts. Those time wasters that hold my attention like glue. Youtube has obviously recognized the power of these shorts and now has a feature where very shorts 30 second to 1 minute videos pop-up and start moving on your screen. A highlight of a full video and very attention grabbing.
All of these things are vying for my attention, and I have to remember my consciousness is more precious than gold. What do I really want to spend it on? More importantly, what do I want to bring into my field of consciousness?
Probably because of Halloween, but nonetheless perturbing, I opened up Youtube the other day and I had nothing by witchcraft, and "evil" and murder videos show up. I started going through one by one and selecting the command "Don't recommend this channel again".
I did this for about a day, and then I started to increase my critera for what was not acceptable. I decided anything that could be considered click-bait. Something with a sensational title. Another day of clean-up, and then finally day 3 I decided to block anything that was truly a waste of time and did not serve my personal growth or interests.
Three days of cleaning my input, and now I have the most amazing video feeds. I have been exposed to some new meditation sites, and I am not spending time falling for the click-bait. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their screentime experience.
So what will be your criterion for cleaning up your input?
The first step on the spiritual journey is to love thyself.
This is not about narcissistic self-aggrandizement. It is about truly connecting to the truth of the self, knowing and identifying the higher self. This is the purpose of our first course of the year.
It is amazing that we are almost at 2023, and the new year always fills me with a renewed motivations to address the goals, projects, and even those limiting beliefs and shadows that may be blocking me from living my best life.
For the past 3 years we have hosted our course Strengthening Your Spiritual Core, A Journey to Self Love. The purpose of this is to recognize the importance of knowing the true self when walking the spiritual path. It is easy to get caught up in some of the superstition or fears of a world that only honors the material. When we know ourselves, we can journey in the astral realms without fear of losing that connection to our core. We can always have discernment, turning back to ourselves for the answers when we are lost. But until we truly know our true selves, and love ourselves, we do not have that anchor to return us safely home.
Once again we will be coming together to explore the most significant person in each of our lives, ourselves. This year we will also have online content available for those who would like to go further in their exploration.
We have traditionally held our sessions either on or close to the new and full moons. The experience with this, from my perspective, is that using the earths natural rhythms in this work has power for supporting the awakening of self. Our ultimate goal is to become aware of our own inner desires, and to open up the avenues for constant connection to that higher self. Using the natural rhythms of the moon cycles will facilitate this.
If you are interested in joining us for our live sessions in 2023, please send us a message and we will add you to our email list.
Looking forward to seeing you all there with us.

Indeed we do have a purpose. There is nothing more certain in my own soul searching that to realize this truth. We are all here for a reason. To share our gifts. But what it is that I am meant to share?
I was listening to a lecture on the youtube channel Eternalised. It was speaking on the psychology of the Man-Child
The Psychology of the Man-Child (Puer Aeternus)youtu.be/9A7GTGSfrIU
I was curious about this topic, and it struck me that there are two sides of this experience of life. The one is that we don't grow up and instead act forever as the dependent child. The other is that we embrace the creative child within us and live a life full of creative expression.
On of the examples came through the story of Carl Jung's own inner struggles with feelings of depression. In his attempts to discover the source he connected to his innerchild and the things that brought him joy in childhood. Those thing for which he had great passion. In particular, his love of building.
He picked up this hobby, not as a grown man, and found he reconnected to the same feelings of joy. However, instead of building toy castles he built a real life stone tower. A functional work of art that could be considered a physical representation of his inner soul.-life. Hand carved inscriptions surround the building.
This one I like in particular:
Time is a child — playing like a child — playing a board game — the kingdom of the child. This is Telesphoros, who roams through the dark regions of this cosmos and glows like a star out of the depths. He points the way to the gates of the sun and to the land of dreams.
It reminds me that I must remain connected to my inner child if I am to find my way to the light and purpose of life. We so often believe that when we speak of purpose we suddenly have to get dark and serious, but the truth is that our light and joy is what will bring us closer to the highest vibrations and path of atonement (At One Ment).
So connect to your own inner child today. What is it that brings you joy. That is what you are meant to be doing. Create through your childlike spirit, and while you fill yourself up with joy, watch it spread to those around you.
I was listening to a talk by John Stuart Reid on sound and vibrational healing. You can listen to it here. I marked the section that I hadn't realized before. I love numbers, and came up with a system of math visualizing the base 10 system.
So when I saw this section (the video starts at this point), I was very intrigued. I hadn't realized the base 10 was in the sacred numbers. I thought that is was all about 6, or 12, or even 360. So when it was stated that phi - the golden ratio was found in all DNA. His visualization of DNA showed it as a ten-fold structure. Furthermore, he states that all five and ten fold structures contain phi! Although I developed this math for non-traditional learners, there is deep meaning in these forms. I am excited to start to share this math with our young learners. If anyone is interested in volunteering to help us, please contact me at
I was driving to Mason City and just gazing out the window looking at all of the shops and other ideas people had created in the world. I saw a place called “Steel Barn” and thought, “That’s an idea” and another place for Tatoos, “That’s an idea.” There were quite a few car wash places right next to each other. Do you think they stole the idea from one another? Or maybe they all had the same idea at the same time. By the time the third guy opened his shop, that might have seemed like less of a "good ideas".
We drove by a place near Mason City called Parr Farms. They had a giant 7 acre corn maze. I had to stop. What drives someone to create something like this? We spoke to the owner, John, and he was excited, you could feel his enthusiasm. He just said, he had an idea and then asked if we thought it was working. It seemed to be working to me. There was a live band, corn maze, petting zoo with baby piglets and goats, a fire pit, pumpkin and gourd patch, games, a haybale ride. It was pretty wonderful to be there.
Maybe the purpose was not as clear as someone who creates a carwash, but it felt good. There was goodness in his idea, and it seemed he was being true to his vision. He then told us about his plans for next year to create a 14 acre maze. I will definitely make my way over to experience this.
What drives us to create? Where does this drive to create come from. I was listening to a video on Free Masonry (see link below). I had heard of the G representing geometry, and God, but he further elaborates it as Gnosis, and finally the Generative Principle, which is the principle of co-creating with God.
I have often spoken of my belief about creativity as a way of pulling into existence something from a higher realm. But what about the drive to create? In this video, the author talks about CARE. I would call this a person's heart's desire. Care is what creates the drive that allows us to bring our hopes and ideals into reality. For me, the connection to the divine creator comes into play here. It is when we allow this creative force to flow, we co-create with the divine.
So I can see that the G = God and also G = the Generative Principle, and God = the Generative Principle.
I also like Sacred Geometry, if you have never see the math idea I co-created, check it out.

I am here at our yoga, or as I like to call it, embodied awareness, and listening to Michael Singer's podcast called "Doing the real work to free yourself."
I love his opening line, which says, "Spiritual growth and personal growth are exactly the same thing."
He goes on to say that we are naturally spiritual, and the only thing in the way of our spiritual development are (in AA terms here) our character defects. He says that working out these things is the path to enlightenment. He compares it to the flow of a river or stream, when there is no resistance, or nothing in the path, the water flows smoothly. When there are rocks, and boulders and all sorts of obstacles, the water is rough. If we want life to flow smoothly we must remove the boulders. Uugh.
What struck me here was the comparison between this and the insights I had been receiving from the Wim Hoff breathing. Each time I found that still space, I was shown something that prevented the flow. I learned what I was doing that was blocking me from peace and oneness. What a beautiful parallel from my experience as it is described by Dr. Singer in this podcast.
I hope you too find ways to keep growing and removing those blocks, so that you may live your best life.
Here we have CoDA to help working out those kinks in our emotional lives and relationship, to live a more grace-filled life. We can also help you work out the kinks in our bodies too.
Join us for Embodied Awareness as we continue to listen to Michael Singer's brilliant teachings. Come stretch and release the resistance and tension, and breathe in healing prana together with us.
Monday and Wednesday 11:11 to 12:12.
I have worked a bit with Betty Edward's book "Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain". It is a great way for those who think they are not creative to start to open up to the type of perceptual awareness used by artists everyday. I was surprised to find out that the military used this book in their 20 year remote viewing program.
This interview was recorded by Jeffrey Mishlove with Lyn Buchanan, MA, who participated in the Army's remote viewing program based at Fort Meade, Maryland. He now teaches ways in which we can all develop these senses. The power of opening up our senses expands our intelligence. For highly creative people, this can be a validation of all they are naturally inclined to see. For those who haven't yet tapped their inner creativity, this can improve the quality of someone's life.
The Buddhist's 8-fold path is founded most significantly on it's first two pillars: Accurate Perception and Correct Expression. Accurate Perception is number one! Most of us see through a limited lens of our past experiences. Instead of drawing the tree in front of us, we draw a symbol of a tree. Learning to see what is actually in front of us when drawing, seems to allow us to open our awareness to all aspects of what is truly in front of us.
So check out the book, and check out the video. Give the exercises a try and see how your life improves.

Not far off from "Don't Rush" is the awareness that worry ruins the life experience.
I don't think I could find many folks who would disagree with this one. Constant worry moves me out of my experience and into a state of discomfort. Perhaps your worry is mixed with anxiety or the feeling of impending doom. That tends to dampen the day.
I can worry about pretty much anything.
One of my big ones is that "I am not doing it right." That one can certainly come up when trying to do my best. What if I couldn't do it wrong? What if just showing up was enough? The more I worry about not doing it right, the less I allow myself to experience just what is happening to and through me.
Life unfolds on its own. I get to participate in that unfolding. Worrying that things are not going right, is like worrying about the way a wave lands on the sand. My worrying won't change it.
So why not just let go of worry and follow the inspired moments one after another. Live your best life by being present to it.
From the Wim Hoff experience, came the divine wisdom of "Don't Rush".
It seem like a privilege when we can be at ease and not in a rush these days, but it is also a choice. It is important that I set aside the time I need to be present in the moments of the day. When I am rushing to the end of my day or my life, I am missing the beauty and opportunities to truly live.
So just for today, breathe deeply and slowly. Enjoy the moments. Listen to the wind. Watch the clouds go by. This is the secret to serenity and the good life.
