Unearthing Our Purpose

Indeed we do have a purpose.  There is nothing more certain in my own soul searching that to realize this truth.  We are all here for a reason.  To share our gifts.  But what it is that I am meant to share?  

I was listening to a lecture on the youtube channel Eternalised.  It was speaking on the psychology of the Man-Child

I was curious about this topic, and it struck me that there are two sides of this experience of life.  The one is that we don't grow up and instead act forever as the dependent child.  The other is that we embrace the creative child within us and live a life full of creative expression.

On of the examples came through the story of Carl Jung's own inner struggles with feelings of depression.  In his attempts to discover the source he connected to his innerchild and the things that brought him joy in childhood.  Those thing for which he had great passion.  In particular, his love of building. 

He picked up this hobby, not as a grown man, and found he reconnected to the same feelings of joy.  However, instead of building toy castles he built a real life stone tower.  A functional work of art that could be considered a physical representation of his inner soul.-life.  Hand carved inscriptions surround the building. 

This one I like in particular:

Time is a child — playing like a child — playing a board game — the kingdom of the child. This is Telesphoros, who roams through the dark regions of this cosmos and glows like a star out of the depths. He points the way to the gates of the sun and to the land of dreams. 

It reminds me that I must remain connected to my inner child if I am to find my way to the light and purpose of life.  We so often believe that when we speak of purpose we suddenly have to get dark and serious, but the truth is that our light and joy is what will bring us closer to the highest vibrations and path of atonement (At One Ment).

So connect to your own inner child today.  What is it that brings you joy.  That is what you are meant to be doing.  Create through your childlike spirit, and while you fill yourself up with joy, watch it spread to those around you.
